UBUNTU Crowd funding for Chairs
Project Name: Ubuntu Crowd Funding for Chairs
Allegation: Funds were raised to purchase chairs for community use, but there is no evidence the chairs were ever delivered, suggesting potential fraud.
Key Issues:
Misrepresented Fundraising Campaign
- Campaign solicited donations specifically to buy chairs for community events/gatherings
- Presented as urgent community need with clear pricing structure
No Delivery of Promised Items
- After successful fundraising, no chairs were delivered to the community
- No photographic evidence or community verification of received chairs
Financial Irregularities
- No transparency about total funds collected
- No receipts or proof of purchases provided
- No proper accounting of how funds were used
Avoidance of Accountability
- Donors reporting being ignored when asking for updates
- No responses to requests for documentation
- Project page remains active despite unfulfilled promises
Evidence of Fraud:
- The continued operation of fundraising for undelivered projects suggests a pattern
- Use of emotional community-focused language to solicit funds
- Complete lack of follow-through on promises
- Similar unresolved projects under same organization
Michael Tellinger started a UBUNTU LIBERATION MOVEMENT in Waterval Boven where he started to solicit funds locally and internationally to start a help project for the people of the town. By running e-mail campaign, You Tube videos, doing international tours and making videos of the dire conditions in the town, he initiated a donation campaign worldwide and use the situation in town to drum up support and donations to make Waterval Boven a self-sustainable town.
